A meeting was held to coordinate key projects for the "One Strive, Three Promote" initiative in the construction of people's cities

(Correspondent Wu Zhengyan, Reporter Wang Lei, Deng Jian) On January 23, the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government convened a meeting to coordinate key projects under the "One Strive, Three Promote" initiative for people-oriented urban construction. The meeting focused on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Central Urban Work Conference, fully implementing the spirit of the Provincial Urban Work Conference, and planning the next steps. Municipal Party Secretary Ning Bo presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Xu Zhi, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Zhang Feng, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress; Zhang Dong, Chairman of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; and relevant officials from the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government attended the meeting.

The meeting heard reports on the progress of the "One Strive, Three Promote" key urban construction projects of the city in 2025 and the city-level project construction plan for 2026. Some units made exchange speeches.

After listening to the speeches of the participants, Ningbo pointed out that in recent years, the city has deepened the construction of a people-oriented city, comprehensively implemented the action plan to enhance urban functions, quality, and vitality, and carried out high-quality urban renewal, significantly improving the city's carrying capacity, agglomeration capacity, and influence, and continuously enhancing the people's sense of gain. In the new year, we must focus on building a modern people-oriented city, select key projects carefully, and strive to revitalize an area through the completion of each project. We must deepen the "One Strive, Three Promote" special action, do a solid and meticulous job in the preliminary work of projects, and strive for greater policy and financial support from higher levels. We must proactively adapt to the new situation of urban development, placing the promotion of operation as a top priority, and maximizing the release of investment benefits. We must go all out to promote completion, striving for early completion and early results while ensuring quality and safety. We must precisely target the promotion of commencement, strengthen the guarantee of essential resources, and promote the commencement of all eligible projects as soon as possible, striving to generate more tangible work and achieve a strong start to the "15th Five-Year Plan."

Xu Zhi pointed out that we should plan scientifically and promote projects that are compliant in procedures, have closed-loop funding, clear operation, and obvious benefits to start construction and achieve results as soon as possible; we should strengthen management, solidify responsibilities in all aspects of planning, construction, and operation, and resolutely prevent major risks; we should strengthen operation, further promote the "One Strive, Three Promote" special action, and promote new achievements in the construction of people-oriented cities.

Prior to the meeting, some attendees, representatives of the Municipal People's Congress, members of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, as well as representatives of People's City Construction Partners and People's City Experience Officers visited key projects such as the Mengxi Science and Technology Innovation Corridor and the Dayanghu Urban Wetland Park.
