(Reporter Wang Shining, Cheng Zhongyu, Tian Long) At the Wuhu-Xuancheng Airport cargo terminal customs supervision area, batches of electronic products, clothing, and machinery are being loaded and shipped, destined for countries such as the Philippines and Russia. According to customs and enterprise statistics, by 2025, the international cargo import and export volume of Wuhu-Xuancheng Airport will exceed 6.03 billion yuan, becoming an important pillar for foreign trade growth in Anhui and the Yangtze River Delta region.

In 2025, Wuhu-Xuancheng Airport continued to expand its cargo route network. In June, Zhongzhou Airlines' first all-cargo aircraft was stationed at the airport, launching routes to Clark and Manila in the Philippines; in July, a second all-cargo aircraft arrived, adding routes to Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Cebu, Philippines; in September, Siberia Airlines of Russia launched the Wuhu-Moscow route, achieving a breakthrough in European destinations. To date, the airport has initially established a cargo route system covering Asia and reaching Europe.

As the first regional airport in Anhui Province to handle over one million passengers and more than 70,000 tons of cargo, Wuhu-Xuancheng Airport actively connects with regional industrial needs and serves key enterprises such as Chery, Continental, Midea, and Changxin Technology. Through stable air logistics, the airport effectively ensures the operation of international supply chains for industries such as new energy vehicles, electronic information, and high-end apparel.

Unlike traditional models, Wuhu-Xuancheng Airport adheres to the principle of "air routes serving industries and industries driving air routes," expanding its routes to meet the export-oriented needs of local industries and promoting the clustering of airport-related industries. Moving forward, the airport will continue to expand cargo routes, enhance its port functions, and further leverage its role as an aviation hub in the Yangtze River Delta integration and the Belt and Road Initiative.
